Abstract Submission Rules and Guidelines

Eligibility: Abstracts can be submitted to the 24th Annual Urology Conference 2024! if they have not been previously published.

Presentation Types: Abstracts may be submitted for:

  • Oral Presentation
  • E-Poster Presentation

Submission Guidelines:

  • Abstracts must be submitted online via the website only; email submissions will not be accepted.
  • Abstracts must be received by the announced deadline; late submissions will not be considered.
  • The same person may submit multiple abstracts, but may serve as a presenting author on up to 2 abstracts.
  • Presenting authors must be registered participants.
  • Submission of an abstract acknowledges acceptance for publication in official conference materials.

Publication:

  • Abstracts will be published in the conference program, and on the website.
  • Abstracts will also be published in a special issue of the Pakistan Pediatric Journal.

Additional Requirements:

  • The presenting author must ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content and agree to its submission.
  • Abstracts must be submitted in English, with accurate grammar and spelling.
  • Disclosure of conflicts of interest is required in the submission form.

Guidelines for Abstract Submission

Before You Begin:

Prepare the following information:

  • Presenting author’s contact details (name, email, affiliation, whatsapp number)
  • Author and co-authors’ details
  • Font: Font should be Times new roman / Calibri and size should be 10
  • Preferred presentation type (oral, e-poster, poster/e-poster viewing only)
  • Abstract title (in UPPER CASE, limited to 25 words)
  • Abstract text (limited to 300 words, including acknowledgments)
  • Abstract topic (select from the list of topics)

Abstract Structure:

For original Research/ Trials, The abstract must be structured into the following headings:

  • Objective(s)
  • Study Methodology
  • Results
  • Conclusions

For case reports/ case series, The abstract must be structured into the following headings:

  • Background
  • Case presentation
  • Conclusion

Additional Requirements:

  • Define abbreviations
  • Use generic names of drugs
  • Ensure a balanced presentation with no commercial or promotional content
  • Remove patient names, hospital ID numbers, and other identifying information
  • Check for spelling, grammatical, and scientific errors

Submission Process:

  • Click the SUBMIT button to save your abstract
  • You can log in later to make changes to your abstract up to the submission deadline
  • After the deadline, changes will not be possible, including adding or changing co-authors
  • You will receive an abstract email after submission
  • Contact us at: abstract@urocon2024.com if you have not received confirmation of your abstract submission
  • Do not submit multiple copies of the same abstract.

Abstract Submitters' Declaration

During abstract submission, you will be asked to confirm that you agree to the following:

  • I confirm that I previewed this abstract and that all information is correct.
  • I accept that the content of this abstract cannot be modified or corrected after final submission and I am aware that it will be published as submitted.
  • Submission of the abstract constitutes the consent of all authors to publication (e.g. Conference website, programs, other promotions, etc.).
  • The Abstract Submitter warrants and represents that no part of the information and content provided by him/her (Hereafter: the “Content”) to the 24th Annual Urology Conference 2024! and its organizers (Hereafter: the “Organizers”), nor the publication of any such Content by the Organizers, on the internet or otherwise infringes any third party rights, including but not limited to privacy rights and/or intellectual property rights.
  • The Abstract Submitter grants the Organizers a copyright license to reproduce, publish, translate, distribute, and display the text of the Content on a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable nonexclusive basis.
  • I herewith confirm that the contact details saved in this system are those of the presenting author, who will be notified about the status of the abstract. The presenting author is responsible for informing the other authors about the status of the abstract.
  • The submitting author may request to be copied on abstract correspondence.
  • I understand that the presenting author must be a registered participant.
  • The Organizers reserve the right to remove from publication and/or presentation an abstract which does not comply with the above.
  • I understand that I must select a specific Theme, Topic, and/or Sub-Topic for my abstract allocation. Although the Committee will work hard to honor this selection, this cannot be guaranteed.
  • The Committee reserves the right to change the Theme, Topic, or Sub-Topic under which the abstract was originally submitted.
